Record Poland has increased export of its goods to Ukraine

Three quarter of 2017 Polish entrepreneurs sold goods to Ukraine in the amount of 13.4 billion zlotys, or about $3.8 billion On this December 28, «the Polish radio» reported, citing data from the Main statistical office of Poland.

This figure is 32% more than last year, and more record-breaking 2013, when Polish exports to Ukraine amounted to 13.3 billion zlotys.

According to the publication, Poland was compensated losses 2014-2015 in trade with Ukraine. Then Polish exports to Ukraine fell by 6.6% in 2014 and 9.8% in 2015.

It is noted that the increase in exports contributed to the stabilization of the Ukrainian banking sector and exchange rate, as well as the entry into force in 2016, of the agreement on free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU.

In September, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that in the first half of 2017, the share of European Union in foreign trade of Ukraine amounted to 40%, whereas in 2009 – 25%, and in 2012 – 30%.
