Putin opened his campaign headquarters

Russian President Vladimir Putin in the evening of 10 January, opened his campaign headquarters, which is located in Gostiny Dvor in Moscow, have informed «RIA Novosti».

Co-chairmen of the headquarters are: head of the center for gifted children «Sirius» Elena Shmeleva, head of the medical center named after Dmitry Rogachev, President of the National society of children’s hematologists and oncologists Alexander Rumyantsev, and Director General of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin.

Press Secretary of Putin’s election staff has become a political commentator of Russian state TV and radio company, the author of the documentary «Crimea. The way home» Andrey Kondrashov.

Putin talked with the three co-chairs and members of staff, asking him «to act solely in the framework of the law and not to break anything».

January 15 will be a site of candidate Putin, RBC reported a source in the headquarters.

Putin announced his intention to run on 6 December 2017. The party «United Russia» welcomed his decision to go on elections as the independent candidate.

On 26 December the initiative group officially nominated Putin a candidate for President of Russia in the elections on 18 March 2018. On 28 December, the CEC registered the group of voters and allowed Russian President to start a campaign.

According to the survey «Levada-center» held from 1 to 5 December, the incumbent President in the elections is ready to support the 61% of respondents.
