Prime Minister of Slovakia called on to stop the referendum: these adventures are dangerous for the whole EU

Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert fico said that the referendums, which are held in individual European countries, are a danger to the whole EU, and so these «adventure» needs to end.

About it reports Reuters.

«I ask the leaders of the European Union to stop them with the adventures that were referendums on internal Affairs in Britain and Italy,» — said fico.

«The UK is not a Eurozone country, Italy has a huge impact on the banking sector, the Euro. What do we do if there is a referendum in Italy on the Euro and Italian citizens will decide they don’t want euros,» he told reporters.

It is reported that in Slovakia, a small far-right people’s party began collecting signatures for a petition to hold a referendum on the country’s membership in EU and NATO.

Recall, on 18 June 2014 in the UK held a referendum, which was opposed to Scotland seceded from the Kingdom.

23 June 2016 for the historic referendum in the UK on membership of the EU for the withdrawal of Britain from the EU voted 51.9 percent of the vote, whereas to remain part of the EU, voted 48.1 percent. With 62% of Scottish voters voted for the fact that Britain remained in the EU.

4 December 2016, the Italians voted against the amendments to the Constitution proposed by the current government under the leadership of Matteo Renzi.

The failure of the Italian constitutional referendum can strike a blow for the European Union, interested in the fact that Renzi retained his post. Experts also compared the effect of the defeat of the reforms with the British «broksita».
