Poroshenko to meet with Kerry and Stoltenberg at the Munich security conference. Yatsenyuk also invited but not going

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will take part in the security conference, which will take place in Munich (Germany). The main part of activities planned for 13 February.

As the correspondent of UKRINFORM source in UBA, on the sidelines of the conference, the meeting of the President with U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry, the head of European diplomacy Federica Mogheriniand NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk received an invitation to participate in the 52nd Munich security conference (MSC), which will be held on 12-14 February, told the correspondent of UNIAN press-Secretary of the head of the government Olga Lappo.

«The Prime Minister was invited, but not planning to go to Munich,» said she.

Lappo added that an invitation had been received from the permanent organizing Committee of the Munich security conference headed by Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger.

Earlier it was reported that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Vice-President of the United States D Joseph Biden agreed to hold a bilateral meeting during the Munich conference on safety. This decision was taken on 28 January during a telephone conversation between officials.

Recall that the Munich security conference will be held 12-14 February. The main themes are migration crisis, the war in Syria and the future of European security.

Among other issues on the agenda: stability in Africa South of the Sahara and cybersecurity.
