Poroshenko: the power supply in the plant will recover after the cease-fire

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that for the commencement of reconstruction work in avdeevke of Donetsk region it is necessary to ensure sustainable cease-fire.

As reported on Tuesday the press service of the President of Ukraine, during the meeting with heads of law enforcement agencies in connection with a sharp aggravation of the situation on security in the area of Avdeyevka industrial zone, Poroshenko noted that only the plant supplied electricity for the four transmission lines, two of them were damaged previously, and the last of the fighting was damaged two more lines.

«Today we carry the full range of efforts in order to restore power, repair crews on the report of the head of the regional state administration is ready and as soon as possible, after the ceasefire, they will leave for work to restore power,» — said Poroshenko.

«The President particularly stressed the need for conferring state awards of those who heroically gave his life protecting the peace and tranquility of Ukrainian citizens», — stated in the message.

Ukraine is waiting for statements from international partners after the initiative to bring the issue of aggravation of the situation in the area of Avdeyevka for consideration by the UN security Council, said Poroshenko.

At a meeting with heads of security agencies on Tuesday, he announced that he had instructed the Deputy head of the presidential administration Konstantin Eliseev immediately to bring the question of aggravation of the situation in the area of Avdeyevka for consideration by the UN security Council.

«Today, we expect the corresponding application from our international partners,» — said Poroshenko.
