The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko declares that in any case will not allow early parliamentary elections at this stage, since this requires six months of total inaction and populism.
He said this during a meeting with representatives of the aspen Institute, said on Monday the 29th of fgures in a press-service of the head of state.
«The only thing I want to emphasize – in any case, I cannot allow and will not allow parliamentary elections at this stage. Because, for all that, declare some political leaders and figures that they really want a reboot, they are actually trying to catch fish in muddy water, actually they work for early elections. We have no time, because it requires half a year of total inaction and populism, nor necessary, because the best Welcome we will not. We must learn to work with this Parliament», – quotes Poroshenko his press service.
The President cited the words of former Minister of foreign Affairs Gennady Udovenko, whom he called his teacher that the key to policy must be three «P’s» – integrity, professionalism and patriotism.
«Unfortunately, some politicians add to this their own ambitions, or even worse, personal insults, which are very disturbing. The search space is impeding the final result. A true leader in the first place the interests of the state», – said the head of state.
According to the President, the main thing that now needs leaders responsible, Patriotic, honest and professional.
The President also noted that the most important stage which must form a team of responsible individuals, able to realize that inherent in the bills, is the implementation of the reforms.
Also, the President Poroshenko calls parliamentary coalition to decide on the candidacy of the Prime Minister, members of government and the reform program.
According to him, the reboot of the government is now the responsibility of Parliament and the coalition.
The head of state emphasized the priority role of the parliamentary coalition, which, he said, should be determined and the nomination of Cabinet Ministers and the head of government, and the programme and order reforms to be carried out, and relative positions of the factions that will be part of this coalition.
In addition, Poroshenko announced the existence of a shortage of personnel who are able to take responsibility for the implementation of the reforms. The head of state noted that the task of implementing reforms require new leaders, «and now, a certain deficit of personnel who are able to take responsibility for the implementation of reforms».
«Most importantly, we need leaders responsible, Patriotic, honest and professional,» – said Poroshenko.
He added that in just over 1.5 years of its activity and more than one year government activities, despite a number of shortcomings, from the point of view of reforms made much. According to the President, the government has representatives who really represent aspen Institute.
«They are the representatives, I am proud of that delegated and offered to the government. Any minute I was not disappointed in their activities», — said the President.
The report notes that the meeting was attended by the graduates of the aspen Institute Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko, Director of the aspen Institute Elliot Gerson, Eugene Utkin, Sergey Koshman, Klepatskiy Anatoly, Sergey Rogol.
Recall, 16 January the Verkhovna Rada listened to the report of the Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk on the government’s work in 2015, dismissed him, acknowledging that the work is not satisfactory, but during the vote of no confidence in the government has gained only 194 votes with the required 226. In accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, in the next three weeks Yatsenyuk is to propose a new composition of the government either to resign, otherwise it will be considered the question of confidence in him personally.
February 17, faction «Batkivshchyna» announced its withdrawal from the coalition. In September 2015 the coalition left Radical party of Oleg Lyashko.
Without representatives «Samopomich», «the BYuT representatives» and «radicals» in the coalition «European Ukraine» will remain 217 deputies at the minimum required 226 members to form a majority.
On February 19 the first Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy said that the parliamentary coalition remains more than 226 deputies, and therefore it exists.
First Deputy head of procedural Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Pavel Pynzenik said that legally the faction of the Radical party still resides in the composition of the parliamentary coalition.
The Prime Minister says that the necessary reformatting of the coalition and changes to the coalition agreement. Also Yatsenyuk is conducting talks on the future of the coalition with the leader of the «radical» Oleh Lyashko.
The leader of the BPP «Solidarity» Yury Lutsenko demands that Yatsenyuk has suggested the new government or gone.
