Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande discussed the status of implementation of the Minsk agreements

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande during a telephone conversation agreed on the need to continue work on preparation of the roadmap implementation of the Minsk agreements.

As reported on Monday, January 16, the press service of the Ukrainian President, the sides discussed the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements on settling the situation in Donbas and noted the need for progress in the implementation of their unit on safety.

«Was marked by the continuing efforts of Ukraine aimed at the peaceful settlement, particularly regarding the unilateral release of 15 individuals and ensure the water supply of certain districts of Luhansk region», — stated in the message.

This Poroshenko during the conversation drew the attention of Merkel and Hollande to the inadmissibility of the situation with the hostages and illegally held in Russia citizens of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian President thanked the German Chancellor and the French President for his continued support in the fight for the restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and implementation of a full programme of reforms.

As reported earlier today in Kiev held talks with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Vice-President of the USA Joseph Biden.
