Poroshenko invited the Maltese business in Ukraine

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine’s partnership with Malta has a great potential, and invited Maltese businesses in Ukraine. The President said during a speech at the Ukrainian-Maltese business forum, the press service of the presidential Administration.

Poroshenko expressed hope to intensify trade and investment opportunities and noted that Ukraine is ready to study any proposal for cooperation.

He noted that by the end of the first half of 2017, the trade in goods and services between Malta and Ukraine increased by 64%.

«Ukrainian exporters consider Malta as a possible commercial and legal gateway to the European Union, using your unique experience, efficient service, friendship, and a unique gateway through which they can also access the markets of the Middle East and Africa… that is why I strongly recommend the Ukrainian business to take advantage of these unique opportunities to take advantage of the trust between the presidents, governments and parliaments to expand our cooperation», – said Poroshenko.

Speaking about the success of reforms in Ukraine, the President reminded that in 2014 Ukraine took 153 place in the rating Doing business (ranking in terms of doing business. – «GORDON») of the world Bank, in 2017 she had been on the 80th place.
