However, the main guarantor of its independence should be we are with you, dear Ukrainians, preserving the unity and resilience to current challenges and threats. Without exaggeration, today the unity of society is a matter of preserving the statehood. If you do not want to be destroyed from within and enslaved by the Russian aggressor, can’t let no strife, domestic intrigue, ataman».

At the same time, according to Poroshenko, «we have at all levels — diplomatic, military, political, at the level of each citizen to protect their country, the preservation of the territorial and spiritual integrity, economic and human security, the protection of Ukraine’s information space».

On the anniversary of a national referendum the head of state expressed gratitude to all who joined the sacred business of finding, formation and preservation of Ukrainian statehood and independence.

According to him, modern realities dictate both strategic and urgent problems, and chief among them is the eradication of corruption, which has existed for decades, thanks to the interested powers.

«The reforms initiated jointly by the state and society, especially such a critical judicial reform and law enforcement reform, we must successfully complete. Need to overcome barriers to sustainable economic development, macroeconomic performance, create the most attractive investment climate. Unconditional priority is strengthening national defense, strengthen the national armed forces as the key to a peaceful future of Ukraine and Ukrainians. All this will mean the implementation of the European choice of the Ukrainian people», — said Poroshenko, and called all to unity and constructive cooperation, consolidation of efforts for peace, welfare and prosperity of our state.
