President Petro Poroshenko by his decree enacted the decision of classified national security Council and defense of Ukraine from 27 January 2016 «On the main indicators of the state defence order for 2016″.
This is stated in the first paragraph of the decree of the President of Ukraine No. 40/2016, announced on Friday 5 February on the President’s website.
«To enact the decision of national security Council and defense of Ukraine from 27 January 2016 «On the main indicators of the state defence order for 2016″ (attached, top secret)», — stated in the message.
In the second paragraph of this decree it is noted that the control over the implementation of decisions of the national security Council, enacted by this decree vested in the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine.
This decree shall enter into force on the date of its publication.
As reported, President Poroshenko at the meeting of the Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC) on 27 January said that the development of enterprises «Ukroboronprom» and the implementation of the state order should be a stimulus of innovation development of the Ukrainian economy. He drew attention to the fact that currently medium — and long-term planning of work of enterprises of military-industrial complex and rearmament. »
The President instructed to accelerate the development and adoption of the State target defensive program of development of armament and military equipment for the period up to 2020. «This is necessary to ensure that we for 4 years knew exactly what weapons, in what year will be put into mass production and delivered to Armed Forces», – said Poroshenko. Speaking on the State defence order for 2016, the head of state drew attention to the increase in UAH equivalent at 34%.
In addition, the President of Ukraine stressed that the government is now focused on the production and purchase of new weapons and technology developed during the last two years, the domestic design offices.
