Poroshenko after a conversation with Lagarde urged the Parliament to adopt a package of laws to further reforms

President Petro Poroshenko during the meeting of the Board of regional development said that yesterday he had a telephone conversation with the managing Director of the International monetary Fund , Christine Lagarde, during which they discussed further steps of cooperation.

Poroshenko stressed the need for the introduction of electronic declarations in 2016

«I want to say to our enemies and opponents — those who hoped that the funding program and the program of our cooperation with the IMF suspended him. On the contrary — we discussed what we should take in the near future», — said Petro Poroshenko.

According to the head of the state, among the steps that must be pursued in Ukraine in the near future, the adoption of several bills the so-called visa-free package and compliance with the provisions of the Memorandum of cooperation with the IMF.

«We recommend that government and Parliament focused on accelerating the adoption of good corporate governance of the largest enterprises of Ukraine, she continued to pursue and implement a corporate governance program «Naftogaz». He expressed the hope that before the end of the week will receive all bills from the government and noted that the Parliament should consider them as urgent.

According to Poroshenko, it will be changes in the law on the appointment of the anti-corruption Prosecutor, who fully agreed with the IMF and developed by the government, the question of the National Agency for prevention of corruption, as well as issues specefekti.

The President also urged the deputies not only in words declare to support the Pro-European vector of the country, but also to maintain its movement to Europe through their actions.

Earlier, Lagarde made a statement on Ukraine in which he expressed doubt that our country will be able to successfully implement the program supported by the IMF.

The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko, commenting on the position of head of the IMF, called her a call to accelerate reforms in Ukraine.

Later Poroshenko and Lagarde had discussed the situation and the head of the IMF called the conversation with the Ukrainian President constructive. Lagarde informed about reaching a «principled agreement on a road map of actions and priority actions to ensure rapid progress within the program (IMF – ed.) that will help to keep Ukraine on the path to robust and sustainable growth».

Poroshenko stressed the need for the introduction of electronic declarations in 2016

Poroshenko said that the electronic Declaration of income of civil servants should be introduced in the current year.

«I ask, finally, remove from the Law on State budget amendment that transfers an electronic Declaration in 2017. We will start their work in 2016. This package is called the package of a visa-free regime, and to postpone as far as we can,» said Petro Poroshenko.

He noted that the bills concerning these changes are already finalized in the light of experience of implementation of accountability of civil servants in the European Union.
