Poroshenko 6 hours was questioned for crimes committed during Euromaidan

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko was questioned about the crimes against activists Euromaidan. This was reported by press Secretary of the President Svyatoslav Tsegolko, reports «Interfax-Ukraine».

He noted that the President «is interested in the investigation of crimes against the Maidan and punishment».

Tsigalko did not specify how much time is spent questioning.

In turn, the Agency reports citing a source in the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the interrogation lasted 6 hours and took place on Friday, November 18, in the President’s administration, although initially it was planned that the examination would be held on 29 November in the premises of the GPU.

Note, «the Ukrainian truth» addressed to the AP as soon as it became aware of the transfer of the agenda with the call of the President for questioning on 29 Nov, but up to Friday evening, did not say when the President will come for questioning, and only said that he will testify.

It is known that earlier the Prosecutor’s office reported about the Poroshenko call for questioning on 29 November in the case of the riots in Kiev.

Also the questioning was invited by the leader of the «popular front» Arseniy Yatsenyuk and NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, and also the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko. The case concerns events that took place in January-February 2014.
