Pope Francis urged to fulfill the obligation and to overcome the humanitarian crisis in the Donbass. This was the Pontiff said during a meeting with the diplomatic corps at the Vatican, reports Vatican Radio.

«Make the wish that in Ukraine, strongly directed forward in finding real solutions for the full implementation of the commitments undertaken by the parties, and, above all, to have been confirmed by the rapid response to the humanitarian situation, which still remains difficult,» — said the Pope on 9 January, during the traditional meeting with the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy see.

The wishes of the Pope was expressed in the context of the 100th anniversary of the First world war during an audience with the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy see where the Pope shared his thoughts on peace and security.

Earlier, the United Nations launched a humanitarian response plan for Ukraine in 2017, according to which it will provide financial support 3.8 million people in dire need of help.
