Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy paruby believes that the ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych it is necessary to read out the charges and demanding his return to Ukraine.
As the correspondent of the UNIAN reports, the VR speaker said in the comment to journalists, answering a question about scheduled for November 25 videoconference with the former President of Ukraine.
«I think the main thing that needs to be done by the Ukrainian investigators, is to read out the charges to Yanukovych so that we could conduct business and that we can as soon as possible to complete these investigations, which are crimes,» — said paruby.
The speaker expressed the opinion that «what was on the Maidan, and that was after the Maidan — it is the responsibility of Yanukovych, who became a puppet of Putin in Ukraine».
«I think that if there is any contact — we should demand his return to Ukraine and have to read the charges against him, according to the Ukrainian Criminal code,» — added the speaker.
As reported, the Shevchenkivskyi district court of Kyiv decided on 25 November 2016 to interview the ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and former commander of the Interior troops of Ukraine Stanislav Shulyak videoconference as witnesses in the case of the prosecution of five former employees of special division «Berkut» in the murder of Euromaidan activists.
Earlier on, questioning Yanukovych videoconference in the case of five ex-soldiers of the special regiment of special purpose MIA «Berkut» is scheduled for November 25, reported his lawyer.
The possibility of such contact was confirmed by the head of the Department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Serhiy Gorbatyuk.
