Parubiy revocation Yegor Sobolev as head of the anti-corruption Committee: It did not, the Ukrainian Parliament stronger

The decision to withdraw the people’s Deputy from «Samopomich» Yegor Sobolev the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on preventing and combating corruption has not made a stronger Parliament, said the speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy after the vote, the correspondent of the Internet edition «GORDON».

«I, as the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, supported the decision of the Committee, but I think that today’s decision did not make the Ukrainian Parliament stronger. Four years ago, these days most of those present stood together on the Maidan shoulder to shoulder. And I sometimes get the question: what happened to us? What happened to us in those four years? I I would like to say that we passed three years of our tenure, we gave a response to the enormous challenges that faced the Ukrainian government but not the least: two years before us still hard work when we have the Russian aggressor, when we have external war, so I wish we rejected all the conflicts that exist between us that we felt the responsibility and the need unity,» he said.

Parubiy added that the Parliament should thank Sobolev for his work as head of the anti-corruption Committee.

«We still have to work for two years. And I’m sure these two years we will be able to work with dignity», – said the speaker.

December 6 people’s deputies of Ukraine from the bloc of Petro Poroshenko, «popular front» and «Renaissance» initiated resignation Sobolev and recognised its work unsatisfactory.

Today the Rada adopted the draft resolution, which recalled Sobolev as the head of the Committee.
