Parubiy closed the fifth session. MPs will return to meeting on 7 February

The speaker Andriy Parubiy 5 closed session of the 8th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada. It was announced during the last session on Friday, January 20.

The deputies will meet again on 7 February to start a 6 seciu.

«During this session, within 5 months of work, we took the 106 laws, 16 ratifications, 60 bills were passed in the first reading,» he said.

According to the Chairman of the Parliament, in this session the deputies have launched a large number of reforms. In particular, laws were adopted on the reform of the energy sector and utilities, also continued judicial reform of the law on the High Council of justice.

Paruby also recalled at that session, the state budget and the law that forced radio stations to provide at least 35% of its airtime for songs in the Ukrainian language.

«But I think the important thing is we are not allowed to destabilize the Ukrainian Parliament and the Ukrainian state», — said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.

It should be noted that in the last day registered in the session hall 330 deputies, but, according to «Ukrainian truth», in fact they were there much less.

According to the approved calendar plan, the sixth session of the Verkhovna Rada of 8th convocation will be held from 7 February to 21 July, on holidays, the MPs will not work in the parliamentary hall.
