Rada gave its consent to arrest Dobkin
Today the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine gave consent to criminal prosecution, detention and arrest of the MP from the Opposition bloc Mikhail Dobkin. The submission of the Prosecutor General on the deprivation of immunity Dobkin was supported by 288 deputies. 29 people were against, one abstained.
The Prosecutor’s office policy is charged with conspiracy to seize 78 hectares of land in Kharkiv worth over 220 million UAH.
Lutsenko handed suspicion Polyakov and Rosenblatt
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko officially handed over the suspect and explained the law to the people’s Deputy of Ukraine from «people’s front» Maxim Polyakov and non-faction people’s Deputy Borislav Rosenblatt.
The protests in Kiev
The protest began on the morning of 13 July, under the slogan «Stop madrepora on the blood!». At a rally under the Ministry of health of Ukraine were representatives of trade unions, doctors and social activists from all regions of Ukraine, in total more than 3,5 thousand people.
Protesters poured red paint on the building of the Ministry of health and formed a corridor through which passed a man dressed as the grim Reaper, representing the acting Minister of health Ulyana Suprun. Behind him were people in white coats, after which the track is also filled with red paint.
The rally moved under the Verkhovna Rada, where the Head of the Confederation of free trade unions of Ukraine Michael Volynets has transferred the requirements to the MPs: do not violate the Constitution and to return to free medicine, to prevent the closure of health facilities and reduction of doctors. Later Volynets, together with other unionists went on a hunger strike.
Also on the morning of 13 July, hundreds of people came under the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine demanding the abolition of parliamentary immunity and parliamentary elections.
The results of the work of the Verkhovna Rada
The Verkhovna Rada adopted in first reading the government bill No. 6614 on amendments to laws of Ukraine concerning increase of pensions, known as the «pension reform law». Also Rada adopted in the second reading the bill No. 6600, which has increased revenue and expenditure of the state budget in 2017 and adopted in the second reading the draft law on the constitutional Court.
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrew Parubiy was closed the evening session after MPs refused to support his initiative to extend the work until the bill on medical reform and education.
