Pamfilova said that «it would be deceit and pointless» to invite to the Russian presidential election observers to Ukraine

The head of the Central election Commission of Russia, Ella Pamfilova said that «it would be deceit» to invite for the coming 2018 presidential elections observers to Ukraine, reports «RIA Novosti».

According to Pamfilova, the CEC sent the invitation to the recent international conference on electoral trends, which took place in Moscow including the Ukrainian colleagues, but received no response.

She added that «it would be cunning, completely pointless now to send invitations to the elections in Ukraine is unrealistic.»

Pamfilova stressed that he wants «neither to dissemble nor to make any unrealistic possibilities».

In her words, «the level of relations between our countries in this situation does not allow us to exchange observers.»

Presidential elections in Russia will be held on 18 March 2018. Acting President Vladimir Putin announced his intention to run on December 6. He will go to elections as the independent candidate.
