The parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) condemned Russia for terrorist activities in Ukraine, having accepted the corresponding Declaration.
On Thursday 26 January on his page on the social network Facebook was written by Vice-President of the PACE, Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Georgy Logvynsky.
«The parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has condemned Russia for terrorist activities in Ukraine. This is stated in the Declaration of PACE 14257, the author of which I am. Members of all political groups of PACE, except the United left, have condemned the actions of Russian secret services to eliminate people’s Deputy of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko, «said the MP.
However, he said that the deputies from Georgia, confirmed a similar situation in their territory, when the Russian secret service used representatives of criminals and ex-prisoners from the occupied territories with the aim of organizing the attacks and eliminate politically undesirable persons.
Recall, January 25, PACE supported the draft resolution on «the Functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine». «It is important that our opponents failed to change the term «Russian aggression» to «internal conflict» to replace the concept of «free elections» with «election at gunpoint» and the election Commission headed by car! Before that, on January 24, PACE supported the resolution entitled «Attacks on journalists and media freedom in Europe», the author of the project which is a Ukrainian MP Volodymyr Ariev. The document calls on the Russian authorities to release the film Director Oleg Sentsov, journalist Roman Sushchenko, arrested on suspicion of espionage, and to withdraw the accusations against the Crimean journalists, accused of «separatism» because of the mention of the illegal annexation of Crimea.
