«Naftogaz» and the HMO will sign a gas supply agreement of October 4, after which the plant will be launched

PJSC «Odesa portside plant and «Naftogaz of Ukraine» will sign a contract for the supply of natural gas on 4 October.

This was reported by the press service of the state property Fund (SPF) of Ukraine on Friday 30 September.

«On Tuesday, October 4, is scheduled to sign the contract with «Naftogaz» on gas supplies, after which the plant will be launched,» — said in the message.

In the SPF are reminded that the plant was forced to stop in the night from 10 to 11 August, to prevent the occurrence of an emergency due to the reduction of PJSC «Ukrtransgaz» gas supply at the enterprise from-for debts.

Recall, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine resolution of September 22, laid on Naftogaz of Ukraine» special obligations to supply gas to the SCR in the amount of up to 300 million cubic metres until 31 December 2016, which will allow to run the plant in October.

According to the head of the state property Fund Igor Bilous, the NAC will have to supply the SCR, the gas smoothly, regardless of existing debt, according to the standard prices for this category of enterprises price. The payment of this debt will be included in the conditions of privatization of the plant.

The launch of the SCR should have a positive impact on investors re-tender for the sale of 99, 567% stake in AES, which the SPF plans to announce in late September and run through 45 days in early November. The head of the Fund proposes to set the starting price at around $ 150 million, but believes that as a result of increased competition after reducing the starting price of the plant can be sold more than 300-400 million$. The final decision on the starting price of sale should be taken by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The first competition, scheduled for July of this year with a starting price of 13,175 billion UAH (about 527 million dollars), ended inconclusively in the absence of applications.
