Mutko announced that it was suspending work at the head of the Russian football Union

Vitaly Mutko, in charge as Vice-Premier sports industry, six months suspended work as the President of the Russian football Union (RFU). The acting head of the organization will be the General Director of the RFU Alexander Alaev, reports «Kommersant».

According to Mutko, the decision to suspend the resignation associated with the filing of a lawsuit in the court of arbitration for Sport of Lausanne (CAS).

The appeal is for a decision of the International Olympic Committee to ban Mutko visit the Olympic competitions. According to the Vice Prime Minister is going to litigation, he decided to take a break and move away from Russian football Union.

«If any disciplinary authority made in respect to any natural person the decision on its face does not dispute – so agrees and acknowledges his guilt. I can’t agree,» explained Mutko at a press conference its intention to file a claim in CAS.

On December 5 the decision of the IOC Executive Board former Minister of sports of Russia Mutko was barred for life from any participation in the Olympics. Disqualification associated with doping scandal, in which he was involved after the Russian winter Games in Sochi in 2014.
