A group of deputies from different factions submitted a Memorandum on intentions to adopt an Ethical code of MP.

«Actually, both happened. Today was a significant day in terms of ethics for parliamentarians in the Parliament… MPs make their first step, finally, to the adoption in the Parliament the code of conduct of the MP, or the Ethical code of the people’s Deputy», — said at the briefing, one of the signatories of the Memorandum Olena Sotnyk (party «Union «Samopomich»).
According to her, there is no doubt, no one citizen of Ukraine, that the ethical face of some people’s deputies «are, to put it mildly, questionable.»
The centurion noted that the proposed political force of the Declaration on intentions deputies provide a negotiation platform for the preparation of the Ethical code of the people’s Deputy.
«And before it is adopted, we fix that we will adhere to the principles of transparency, avoid conflicts of interest, to be accountable to citizens, and to be ethical in their behaviour, respect people and human rights», — said the Deputy.
The signatories called to join the Memorandum of understanding and other deputies.
Among the signatories of the Memorandum, the deputies from the Opposition bloc Yuriy Miroshnichenko, from the «Fatherland» — Alena Shkrumfrom STDs — Sergey Leshchenko, Svetlana Zalishchuk and Oksana Yurynets, individual Ostap Yednak.

Intervened people’s Deputy from BPP Oleg Barna, who pulled them apart. The Chairman of the Parliament Andrei Parubiy called the fight in the hall of Parliament as «unacceptable». «It discreditied those involved in the fight, and the whole Parliament», — said the head of Parliament. Parubiy said that he had addressed in the procedural Committee of the Parliament for action.
