More than 100 vehicles formed a giant traffic accident near Toronto

«A number of accidents led to the closure of the stretch of highway 401 between BOWMANVILLE and Port hope in both directions about 3:30 p.m. local time on Saturday,» the message reads.

As of Sunday morning, January 8, the highway was reopened.

Earlier in Canada every year due to heavy snowstorms and ice, there are dozens of accidents. The major accident recorded in the district of the city of Sainte-adèle, where highway 15 immediately faced 47 cars.
