Mogherini highlighted Ukraine among the priorities for 2017

High representative of the European Union for foreign Affairs and security Federica Mogherini has allocated Ukraine among the priorities of the EU in 2017. About this on his page on the social network Twitter wrote the press Secretary of the President of Ukraine Svyatoslav Tsigalko.

«The EU high representative for the common foreign and security policy among the priorities for 2017 has allocated Ukraine», — he wrote, with a link to the blog on the website Mongering.

The high representative noted that 2016 was the year of support of reforms, economic growth, peace and stability on the Eastern borders of the EU.

«First and foremost in Ukraine, with more General efforts to reform the country, fight against corruption, and, of course, to achieve full implementation of the Minsk agreements and the cessation of the conflict in the East of the country,» she wrote.

Mogherini also noted that the EU cooperates with all the countries of the Eastern partnership.

«We are doing this in full accordance with the history, priorities and political choices of each country and society. It is a partnership for reform, for our citizens, and not a partnership «against» anyone — on the contrary, it is an important element in the direction of greater regional cooperation» — said the head of European diplomacy.

Along with Ukraine among the priorities Mogherini stated: global strategy for EU foreign policy; migration and cooperation with Africa; the response to terrorism and working together for the future of Syria; security and defense of the EU; partnership with Colombia, relations between Palestine and Israel; the incarnation of the agreement with Iran; a move to the EU of the Balkan countries; the resumption of cooperation with Cuba; the close cooperation with the US; the peace process in Afghanistan.
