«On 20 February 2014, the Russian Federation began an armed aggression against Ukraine, occupying the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea and city of Sevastopol. Today this aggression continues in the Donbas. Since the beginning of aggression killed more than 2600 of the Ukrainian military personnel and more than 9,000 were injured. Only in the last two months 2016 the Ukrainian positions were shelled more than 2500 times, resulting in 12 soldiers were killed and over 150 were injured», — said in a statement foreign Ministry released on Monday.
The foreign Ministry stressed that during the period of aggression under the command of Russian officers in the Donbas was formed a 40-strong army, equipped and financed by the Russian side.
«This army equipped with modern Russian weapons: heavy artillery and jet systems of volley fire BM-21 «Grad», «Tornado» and TOS-1 «Buratino», means of encrypted communication and monitoring (e-military complex «Mercury-BM», «Briar-Aero», «Leer-2», 1РД257 «Krasuha-4»), anti-aircraft missile systems «Buk» (SA-11 Gadfly), «Strela» (SA-13 Gopher), Pantsir (SA-22 Greyhound). Now armed with this army is around 470 tanks, armored personnel carriers 870, 450 artillery systems, 190 MLRS. The Ukrainian foreign Ministry also said that Russia has not fulfilled any of its obligations under the Minsk agreements. The foreign Ministry stressed that Ukraine calls on the international community to exert maximum pressure on Russia and to maintain the sanctions until the Donbass and Crimea will not be deoccupation.

Russia and its controlled terrorists continue armed provocations, including the use of weapons that would have to be reserved for control and monitoring of the OSCE – reactive multiple rocket launchers, self-propelled artillery, mortars caliber 82 mm and 120», — said in a statement.
The foreign Ministry emphasize that the Russian troops on Donbass continue to carry out the rotation, training and supplies across the uncontrolled border, and the OSCE special monitoring mission still does not have full access to all territories controlled by Russia and militants.
«Russia and its puppets constantly prevent the release of more than 130 Ukrainian hostages, keeping them in inhuman conditions, subjecting them to torture and threatening them with the death penalty in accordance with the criminal code of the USSR», — said in a statement.
Also, the Ukrainian foreign Ministry recalled that Russia continues political persecution of Ukrainian citizens and refuses to release Ukrainian political prisoners Nadezhda Savchenko, Oleg Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko and others.
In addition, the foreign Ministry of Ukraine pay attention to the fact that Russia and the militants blocked the supply of Ukrainian and international humanitarian assistance to civilians and hampered the activities of international humanitarian organizations, including red cross.
«Ukraine calls on all member countries of the UN to demand that the Russian Federation fulfil its obligations in accordance with the UN Charter and international law, the full implementation of the Minsk accords and an immediate end to all acts of aggression against Ukraine. We urge the international community to exert maximum pressure on Russia to maintain the sanctions until the Donbass and Crimea will not be deoccupied and territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine is restored», — is told in the statement of the foreign Ministry.
Also the statement noted that Ukraine consistently fulfils its obligations under the Minsk agreements.
«Ukraine consistently fulfils its obligations for security, political, humanitarian and socio-economic nature, namely: ceased firing, secured full access to the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE, presented their vision of the modalities of holding local elections on the territory of OGLO (separate districts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions), according to the Minsk agreements, international standards and Ukrainian law; made important steps towards a political settlement, having accepted in the first reading the draft law on amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine», — reads the statement of the MFA of Ukraine regarding the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
The foreign Ministry also stressed that the Ukrainian government continues to supply gas and electricity to the militants-controlled territory, to make payments of pensions and other social payments to Ukrainian citizens in the occupied territory of Donbass.
«Being under constant shelling, Ukrainian experts to restore the infrastructure, damaged gas and water lines, power lines to ensure the needs of the civilian population», — said in a statement.
