MFA recommends Ukrainians not to travel to Syria

The Ministry of foreign Affairs published recommendations according to which the Ukrainians should leave Syria and refrain trips to the territory of that state. This is stated in the message of the foreign Ministry, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

«In connection with an armed conflict and a high level of terrorist threat in the Syrian Arab Republic, the Ukrainian foreign Ministry once again urges the Ukrainian citizens to refrain from traveling to Syria to stabilize the security situation, and those who are still in this country – to leave its territory», – stated in the message.

The foreign Ministry warned that failure threatens the personal safety of citizens, «due to the inability of the Syrian authorities to control the security situation throughout the country.»

The report also noted that the ability of consular response for the protection of Ukrainian citizens in Syria are becoming more limited.
