Member countries of the OSCE called on the Russian Federation responsible for the maintenance of the «regime of silence» near Avdeevka. The UN security Council will meet tomorrow

Member countries of the OSCE at the emergency meeting, convened because of the worsening situation in the city of Avdeevka of Donetsk region, urged Russia to take responsibility for the ceasefire in Eastern Ukraine.

«The results of the meeting of OSCE participating States call Russia to account for the maintenance of the cease-fire and implement the Minsk agreements», — stated in the message of the permanent mission of Ukraine to the OSCE, which refers to «Interfax-Ukraine».

In addition, the speaker of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Marian Betz in the broadcast channel «112. Ukraine» told that the position of Ukraine in the OSCE was supported by all partners.

«The Russian Federation was the only delegation which actually repeated his usual narrative that in all blame Ukraine,» said Betz.

At the same time, according to her, at the OSCE meeting discussed the critical humanitarian situation.

«Had uttered statements of key players, the USA, Switzerland, Canada, EU, France, Germany on the need to end these actions and responsibility of the Russian Federation. There was also emphasis on strengthening the capacity of the special monitoring mission to verify the ceasefire and withdrawal of weapons, and call for Russia to allow the OSCE to have access to the territories of Ukraine, including those not controlled by the government», — said the speaker of the MFA of Ukraine.

At the same time, the UN security Council aggravation of the situation in the East of Ukraine will consider in closed session on Tuesday, January 31.

«At the request of the delegation of Ukraine to the UN security Council will consider today in the closed mode the situation in the East of Ukraine», — said the press service of the organization.

As previously reported, in turn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrey Parubiy and the group of people’s deputies of Ukraine in an open letter to the parliaments of the world about the situation in Avdeevka indicated that within two days from the Russian weapons were lost 8 Ukrainian soldiers, 26 more were injured.
