On Thursday February 11, reports «Ukrainian truth» with reference to the statement of human rights defenders.
The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people expresses a new wave of repression against Crimean Tatars. As reported by «Crimea.Realities», this is stated in the statement of the Majlis in connection with the searches, which took place on 11 February in the Crimea.
«The searches were conducted in the homes of about 10 of the Crimean Tatars, in particular, Damir Menderova (Yalta), Bakhtiyar Topuzova (Yalta), Rustem Osmanov (Bakhchisarai), Nariman Mamidinova (With S. Bakhchisaray district), Rustem Islyamov (With S. Bakhchisaray district), Arsen Khalilov (p. with the Bakhchsarai area), Muslum Aliyev (S. Top Kutuzovka, Alushta region), as well as the Crimean member of the contact group for human rights Emir-Useina cook (Yalta),» – said in a statement.
In the Majlis noted that the searches were conducted on suspicion of involvement in «terrorist organizations», 8 detainees were released Osmanov and Rustem Nariman Mamidinova after their interrogation.
«The searches were carried out with violation of current Russian legislation, in most cases – in a rigid form. For example, in the family home Topuzovic security forces raided at 7 in the morning, scare sleeping children, smashing Windows, glasses which fell right on them», – stressed in the Majlis.
Thursday, February 11, was summoned to the Prosecutor’s office of Simferopol, first Deputy Chairman of the Majlis of Crimean Tatar people Nariman Jelal in connection with allegedly admitted to law enforcement complaints about the activity of the Majlis.
The Russian Prosecutor of the Crimea Natalia Polonskaya reported that the Crimean Department of the FSB of Russia detained four persons in a criminal case on the fact of activity «of the terrorist organization «Hizb ut-Tahrir». According to the Russian investigation, «one member of the party «Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami» had organized a local cell of the terrorist organization, which operated on the territory of the cities of Yalta and Alushta».
Note that at the end of January, the commander of international peacekeeping battalion named Dzhokhar Dudayev Adam Osman during a press conference in Kyiv said that the Russian Federation was preparing attacks in the occupied Crimea with the aim of discrediting Ukraine and create a pretext to launch a full-scale assault. So, during the preparation and implementation of large-scale provocations by officers of FSB of the Russian Federation will be carried out the searches and detention of the Crimean Tatars, condemning the occupation of Crimea, staged and finding they have banned literature and other items (badges, contact info, etc), which should directly or indirectly show that would supposedly «extremist Ukrainian trace» in the preparation of terrorist acts. Also in the provocation for greater influence on the world community may be drawn «map of Ukraine – «ISIS».
We emphasize that in December last year, Ukrainian Muslims issued a statement in which they urge not to succumb to misinformation and speculations of Russian propaganda, aiming to put volunteers Ukrainian Muslim supporters of the «ISIL», and Ukraine — her accomplice. As noted in the statement, the Kremlin propaganda over a long period of time trying to discredit Ukraine in the eyes of the international community, portraying patriots and freedom fighters as Nazis and punishers. And now Russia is trying to present the Ukrainian Muslims, especially Muslim volunteers of the ATO as allies of the terrorist organization «ISIL» («Islamic state of Iraq and the Levant»).
Such statements are not new, since the Kremlin is trying to justify its illegal actions — in particular how it was with the force of moderate Sunni opposition in Syria, which the Russian Federation is bombing under the pretext of fighting against ISIS.
After the annexation of Crimea by Russia in the homes of Crimean Tatar and Pro-Ukrainian activists are often searched with the participation of Russian special services. About this regularly in their reports inform international human rights organizations.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 the beginning of temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia. October 7, 2015 President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the law. International organizations have recognized the occupation and illegal annexation of Crimea and condemned Russia’s actions. Western countries have imposed various economic sanctions.
