Martynenko asked the court to release him abroad

Former MP from the «popular front» Mykola Martynenko asks the Solomensky district court of Kiev to give him the opportunity to travel abroad. On 4 December the court said the protection of former MP, said «the Censor.NO.»

According to the lawyer Tatyana Chertovoi, Martynenko, member of the Board of the Razumkov Centre, should represent the center for economic and policy research in international events. The court handed a copy of the letter of the Director of the Razumkov Centre Anatoliy Rachok, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chalyi on the intended composition of the delegation.

Prosecutor Andrei Perov asked the court to postpone the meeting and that the defence be required to provide copies of documents for review. Judge Ludmila Kizyun approved his application and adjourned until December 5.

The ex-MP was present at the meeting.

Martynenko suspected of abuse in the execution of the contract of purchase and sale of uranium concentrate to state enterprise «Eastern mining-processing combine» across the Austrian company Steuermann and misappropriation of property of state enterprise «Energoatom». According to the head of the Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office of Nazar Golodnitsky, a former Deputy threatens till 12 years of imprisonment.

22 APR Solomensky regional court of Kiev chose a measure of restraint Martynenko in the form of personal guarantees. He stood up the 18 politicians.

Former MP ordered to report change of residence, be on the call for investigation, to refrain from communicating with a number of individuals appearing in the materials suspicions, and to Deposit all documents for travel abroad.
