Marine Bodewes, which now supplied the weapons to Syria, the Russians acquired in Turkey, not Ukraine

The ship «Kazan-60» purchased from the Russian defense Ministry to participate in the operation to supply the Syrian factions of the armed forces (the so-called «Syrian Express») recently belonged to the Ukrainian Danube shipping company (UDP) and was assigned to the seaport of Izmail of Odessa region, but the Russians bought it through the Mongolian «strip» not the Ukrainians, and Turks. About it on February 26, 2016 reported InformNapalm.

«Ukrainian Danube Shipping company (UDP) has sold this vessel in late 2014, the Turkish company 2 E DENIZCILIK SAN. VE TIC.A.S for about 300 thousand euros. Soon the ship was towed to Turkey, to saw it into the metal. Then the owners sold it to the Russians», — stated in the message.

Here’s how commented on this deal in October 2015, the UDP Director Dmitry Barinov in an interview with the Odessa newspaper «Duma»:

«At the time of sale «Georgy Agafonov» (as the ship is decommissioned 1987 edition was called in the USSR and in Ukraine — ed.) was not afloat, and they certainly had to spend money to repair the engine. It is not less 500 thousand dollars. But, the main thing not it, but the General condition of the vessel, which is awful, everything has rotted and cannot be repaired. I’m afraid this «Kazan» at risk not to reach Syria – will sink together with tanks, missiles, or whatever they have».

Recall, we are talking about a former refrigerated-basebase class «river-sea» on the recent message of the Stockholm international peace research Institute, the Ukrainian side allegedly sold Russia for military purposes.
