Lutsenko agreed with the government of Latvia on the return of assets of Ukrainian ex-officials

Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko agreed with the government of Latvia to assist in the investigation of Ukrainian ex-officials and the return of illegally acquired assets.

Lutsenko met with attorney General of the Republic of Latvia Kallmeyer and guidance of the Bureau on prevention and struggle against corruption (KNAB).

«One of the main tasks of bodies of Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine is the establishment of cooperation arrangements with the competent authorities of the key jurisdictions and develop an effective strategy for the return of funds which a criminal way withdrawn from our state,» – said Lutsenko.

Previously, the GPU was informed that the return of assets around ex-President Viktor Yanukovych, was found in Latvia, can last 5-10 years.
