Legwinski headed the PACE sub-Committee on crime problems and the fight against terrorism

Verkhovna Rada Deputy from «popular front» Georgy Logvynsky became head of the PACE sub-Committee on crime problems and the fight against terrorism. About this he wrote today, January 25, on his page in Facebook.

Legwinski said that his rival for the post of head of the Subcommittee was French MP Thierry Mariani, against which Ukraine initiated criminal proceedings for trespassing and for visits to the occupied Crimea.

«Thank you for the unanimous decision of the Subcommittee about my election, and thank you colleagues from the European people’s party for the nomination me,» the Deputy wrote.

Recall, January 23, Legwinski was elected Vice-President of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

It is also worth noting that another Ukrainian MP Volodymyr Ariev was re-elected for a second term as the President of the PACE Committee on education, science and culture.
