Lawyer: the Supreme court of Chechnya jurors discuss the verdict in the case Karpyuk and Cliche

In the Supreme court of the Chechen Republic the jury retired to discuss the verdict in the case of Ukrainian citizens Mykola Karpiuk and Stanislav Cliche. About this on his page in Facebook said the lawyer Ilya Novikov.

According to him, since the jury’s «not finished yesterday, so among them there are differences. By law, they must within 3 hours to try to reach a unanimous decision, before you can start to vote. On the eve they spent in the conference room an hour before the break for the night and another hour this morning. Starting at 11am, at any time, you can expect their release with a verdict».

As reported in Russia Karpyuk and Cliche accused of «participation in the gang, murder and attempted murder by Russian servicemen. Russian investigation claims that Klyh and Karpyuk during the First Chechen war was created in Ukraine group to participate in the battles against Russian forces for an independent Chechnya. In addition, Karpyuk supposedly at the end of 1994 and in early 1995 he took part in them.

Also he is charged with participating in those years, the UNA-UNSO (if it were two separate organizations), banned in Russia since 2014.

Russian special services kidnapped Karpuk in March 2014 in Chernihiv region, Cliche detained in August of the same year in the Russian eagle. The Ukrainians deny their guilt and claim that confessions had been extracted from them under torture investigation.
