Lavrynovych has assured it has no plans to leave Ukraine

Former Minister of justice Oleksandr Lavrynovych did not intend to leave the territory of Ukraine. He said this on 28 September, «Ukrainian news».

«Yesterday I was on the court really were joking that if they initiate this, you can go to Mars from there to look at their management and to evaluate the results of losses, threats and losses incurred by Ukraine. And then return in order to restore order. Other options I have not considered and is not considered», – he said.

Lavrynovych believes that the Prosecutor General’s office in recent years aggressively trying to «push» him over the border and make a «fugitive».

«They push me so long ago, in recent years, because they have a headache. They can not calm down and realize that in Ukraine there are people who worked in state government for decades, and have always worked under the law», – said the politician.

The former Minister added that he intends to initiate in the international courts review of the activities of the employees of the GPU, which in his opinion probably bothers the leadership of the Department.

«It’s like Freud. Apparently, they are already preparing to escape, knowing that what they have done already and continue to do in Ukraine will pose a threat to them. And obviously understand that they have no other way to be. Because they work outside the law and outside morality,» – said Lavrynovych.

On 6 September the General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko reported that the ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and Lavrynovych declared suspicion in seizing power through a constitutional coup in 2010.

Then the constitutional Court of Ukraine has returned the country to a presidential-parliamentary form of government, by extending the powers of the President. The court in closed session overturned the political reform of 2004, under the chairmanship of Anatoly Golovin has renewed the Constitution of 1996.

Lavrynovych, who thrice occupied the post of Minister of justice (in 2002-2005-m, 2006-2007 and 2010-2013), the GPU is also accused of embezzlement of budget funds.

7 Sep Lavrynovych called for the GPU, where he was handed a suspicion in the case of the seizure of state power. The lawyer of Lavrynovych Eugene Solodko then said that the ex-Minister threatens till 15 years of imprisonment.

September 15 Pechersk district court of Kiev chose a measure of restraint Lavrynovych in the form of detention for a period of 60 days.

On 27 September the Kyiv court of Appeals released former Minister from jail.

The GPU said that Lavrynovych to flee the country.
