Lagarde was re-elected for a second term. Other candidates were not

The managing Director of the International monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde was re-elected for a second term.

On Thursday 11 February, according to Bloomberg.

While Lagarde was the only candidate for the post.

It clarifies the Agency, the Board of Directors of the IMF had the opportunity to nominate other candidates until this morning and only put forward Lagarde.

Her first term expires July 5, 2016.

Recall that Lagarde was elected as head of the IMF at the end of June 2011 after the resignation of another French politician, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who was expected in new York court on charges of sexual harassment.
