In the coming days about the resolution «Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol» on the Third Committee of the UN. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze during the event on the situation with human rights in the Crimea, in the UN headquarters in new York, said the Agency «Interfax-Ukraine».

«We urge the international community to respond systematically to the cynical human rights violations in Crimea and to strengthen political and diplomatic pressure on the Kremlin to return the aggressor to respect international law,» she said.

The politician added that the vote on the resolution is expected in November 2017.

«Today I want to reiterate the position of Ukraine: we do not sell territory, and our citizens for money, oil or gas. Therefore, the de-occupation of Crimea, as well as other temporarily occupied territories, is our absolute priority,» he added.

Klympush-Tsintsadze greeted published on 25 September, the report «Situation of human rights in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine)», and expressed regret that access to the Crimea for the UN mission on monitoring human rights in Ukraine was banned by «authorities» of the Peninsula.

«Unfortunately, the scale of the crimes and violations committed by the occupying power in the Crimea after the decision, indicate the disregard by Russia of its international legal obligations.. anyone who dares to abandon the so-called «reunification with Russia», becomes a victim of detention, persecution and torture,» she said.

19 December 2016, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on human rights violations in the occupied Peninsula.

Russia occupied the Crimea after the illegal referendum on 16 March 2014. The annexation of Crimea by Russia is not recognised by Ukraine and most countries of the world.
