Klimkin: the UN Resolution on Crimea forbids Russia to encourage the Crimean army

The resolution adopted by the Third Committee of the UN about Russia’s violation of human rights in the occupied Crimea of the Russian Federation forbids to call upon the inhabitants of the Peninsula in the armed forces.

This was stated by the foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin during an hour of questions to the government, talking about the decision of the Committee on resolutions, reports Ukrainian Pravda.

«I want to stress separately that the resolution stresses the prohibition of recruitment into the armed forces of the occupier in the occupied territory,» he said.

«There are also calls for country-occupier in accordance with international law, to unhindered access to the occupied Crimea, international human rights mechanisms,» he added.
