Poland officially confirmed the ban on the entry of the Chairman of the Ukrainian Institute of national remembrance Vladimir Viatrovych. On the evening of 10 November, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said the TV channel «inter».

«The Polish side of us is not confirmed. We tried to figure this out in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Poland,» he said.

Klimkin expressed confidence that Ukraine will eventually reach a historic reconciliation with Poland, and relations between the two countries will continue to develop.

«We will defend anyone involved in reconciliation, including Vyatrovich» he concluded.

That viatrovych was in the list undesirable to entry into Poland of persons who reported 9 November, citing its own sources website Dziennik.pl. The list supposedly will not be published to the defendants learned about the ban at the border.

On 2 November the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski said Poland intends to start the procedure, which will not allow to enter the country the Ukrainians, «defiantly wear the uniforms of the SS division «Galicia».

The foreign Ministry of Ukraine said that the country has no anti-Polish sentiment.

Viatrovych criticized Waszczykowski, stating that Polish politics by demonizing the Ukrainians are trying to get political dividends.

«Perhaps the Minister has seen Russian TV and imagine that people go to Kiev in the forms of the SS,» said the historian.

On 8 November it became known that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko initiated an emergency meeting of the Advisory Committee of the presidents of Ukraine and Poland with the aim of preventing further escalation of tensions between the two countries.
