Employees of the security Service of Ukraine has established the place of residence of the former Minister of income and fees Alexander Klimenko in Russia. This is stated in the text of the decision of Pechersky district court of Kiev from November 10, according to «Ukrainian news».

According to the report, the court considered the petition of the lawyer eks-the Minister Sergey Titarenko on cancellation of the decision of the Prosecutor General to stop pre-trial investigation from 26 February 2015. Titarenko argued that Klimenko there is no status of the suspect, and therefore investigation against him could not be carried out and criminal proceedings should be closed, not suspended.

Prosecutors, in turn, said that Klimenko was reported about suspicion in a proper way.

At the same time, from 6 may this year, the international search the former Minister was suspended at the time of the inspection Commission of Interpol.

«According to the letter GU BCOP (Main Directorate for combating corruption and organized crime), the security service of 31 August 2016 No. 14/15-18178 according to operational data established that Klimenko in 2014 and is currently living in Moscow (Russia), where on Tverskaya street acquired luxury housing, and also was temporarily in Rostov-on-don, Sochi (both – Russia) and was temporarily in Yalta (Crimea)», – said in the text of the judgment.

In addition, law enforcement authorities reported that the measures are aimed at tracing Klimenko at checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine with the purpose of its detention and delivery in court.

Given this information, the court decided to deny the ex-defense Minister and not reversed the decision to suspend the investigation.

As you know, in August, Kiev Pechersk district court again returned to the General Prosecutor’s request for permission to begin in absentia proceedings against Klimenko.
