Ukraine has a clear plan to strengthen the OSCE special monitoring mission in the Donbass, including increased staffing levels and technical equipment. «Mission and all observers trying to do their job and bring peace to the Donbass, but we must allow them to do it. And today Russia is blocking the work of the mission, giving access to a significant part of the territory of Donbass, namely to those areas where there is arms and regular Russian troops», — said Klimkin.
He stressed the need to fully provide the observer access to uncontrolled areas of the border.
«We have data that is now continuing supply of ammunition, mercenaries, regular rotation of troops,» — said Klimkin.
According to him, Ukraine has a clear plan to ensure round the clock access.
«It is necessary to create a database (access — ed.) to uncontrolled areas of the border, to place appropriate monitoring equipment, to put OSCE representatives on our side of the border and allow them to do an inspection,» the Minister said.
In addition, according to klimkina, you need to have more observers and technical equipment to provide round the clock access uncontrolled areas of the border, as attacks occur during the night. Another challenge, according to klimkina, is the solution to the question of who will perform the task to monitor the disarmament.
The Minister stressed that Ukraine has ambitious expectations from the Austrian OSCE chairmanship.
