«Just like home». The Hubble telescope has photographed similar to the milky Way galaxy in the constellation Lynx

The Hubble telescope photographed the galaxy NGC 2500 in the Lynx remote from the Earth 30 million light years. The image was published on the website of the telescope with the headings «Just like home» («just like home». – «GORDON»).

NGC 2500, and the milky Way is a spiral galaxy. It was opened by the British astronomer William Herschel in 1788.

Galaxy still produces stars, although the «nursery» centered in it unevenly.
