Italy will hold a constitutional referendum

The Rome court rejected the appeal on the cancellation of the referendum, writes Reuters.

4 December in Italy will hold a referendum on constitutional reform, and in the case of its adoption, the political system in the country will change a lot, will cut the powers of the Senate, the procedure for its formation and financing, and also strengthened the Executive power in the country.

Despite the fact that the referendum will be conducted in a timely manner, according to all public opinion polls, citizens are likely to reject the proposal of the Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi.

In case of rejection of the reforms Prime Minister Renzi, who proposed to her, promised to resign.

Opponents of the initiative say that it will lead to concentration of power in the hands of the Prime Minister. Renzi argues that his proposal is aimed at stabilizing the work of the Parliament and the government.
