Irina Gerashchenko said that the release Chiygoza Umerov and Russia will achieve bonuses for themselves

The Russian side will try to negotiate a bonus after the release of the leaders of the Crimean Tatar people of Akhtem chigusa, and Ilmi Umerov. This was during the briefing, which was broadcast channel «112 Ukraine», said first Vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko.

«I am convinced that among the bonuses that trying to negotiate the Russian side, and the easing of sanctions and a return to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). Because there is now a serious struggle for the return of the Russian delegation without preconditions, without implementation of PACE resolutions,» – said Gerashchenko.

In her view, Russian President Vladimir Putin is using this humanitarian step as a bargaining chip. Gerashchenko said that the Ukrainian position remains unchanged.

«We urge the world to keep the unity on one issue: the return of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in full, full de-occupation and deannexation Crimea and Donbas, the release of all hostages and political prisoners. Without these prerequisites, without a complete package of the Minsk agreements and the liberation of the Crimea there can be no question about the fact that Russia embarked on the path», she said.

The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, in turn, said: «I think Putin is counting on serious bonuses. He, as always, trying to release one man to cover up murder of thousands.»

Today the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine on Affairs of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev said that Umerov and Chiygoza was given Turkey. He said this became possible thanks to the agreements reached during the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Ukraine.

According to Dzhemilev, Chiygoza and Umerov must deliver to Ukraine.

Journalist Anton NumLock reported that Putin pardoned Chiygoza and Umerov, and the relevant decrees are classified. Lawyer Nikolai Polozov said they were not asked about it.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expressed gratitude to Erdogan «for his efforts in the liberation of our heroes, as we agreed in new York and Kiev.»

Chiygoz was detained in January 2015 for participating in a rally in support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, which was held in front of the Supreme Council of Crimea on 26 February 2014. He was accused of organizing mass riots. September 11, controlled by Russia’s Supreme court annexed Crimea Chiygoza was sentenced to eight years in a strict regime colony.

Against Umerov may 19, 2016, the FSB of Russia opened a case on charges of extremism for «public statement calling on the necessity of violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation». 27 September 2017, the court in occupied Simferopol sentenced him to two years in prison.
