Involved in the case of corruption in FIFA’s blazer died in the United States

In the US at the age of 72 years died a person involved in a corruption scandal in the International football Federation (FIFA) Chuck blazer. It is reported Associated Press with reference to his lawyers.

The cause of death was not specified, but the hearing in 2013, blazer said that he had colon cancer, diabetes and coronary heart disease.

From 1990 to 2011, blazer served as General Secretary of the football Confederation of North and Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), and from 1997 to 2013 as member of the FIFA Executive Committee.

In 2015, the Swiss Prosecutor’s office opened a criminal case on suspicion of negligence and money laundering in FIFA during the elections of the countries – organizers of the world Championships on football 2018 and 2022.

The blazer has admitted that he and other members of the Executive Committee of the organization agreed to the bribe for the election of Africa the host country of world Cup 2010.

In 2015, his life was suspended from football activities.
