In Warsaw plans to erect a monument to Holodomor victims

In Warsaw plans to erect a monument to the Polish victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine, which, according to some estimates, there are about 80 thousand.

On Wednesday in Warsaw, said the Chairman of the Commission of the Sejm on cooperation with poles abroad Michal dworczyk, informs UKRINFORM with reference to RAR.

«I want to find (for the monument — ed.) a decent place, probably in Warsaw. But the search space has not started yet,» said dvorchik.

According to the Chairman of the Commission of the Seimas, except in newly established construction Committee of the monument also included the Deputy head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Jan Dziedziczak, Polish historian Jan Garen and Chairman of the Association of Polish scientists in Ukraine, Professor Henrik Stronsky.

Dvorchik stressed that about this period of history and that among the victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine was 80 thousand poles, generally no one speaks.

«Don’t know about it and not even study with us. Therefore, we will refer to the institutions of culture and science about the beginning of actions that will be focused on the study of this crime», — said the Polish politician.
