Girkin accused on three counts: murder, accident and destruction of the aircraft and the violation of international law, and in cahoots with his Deputy Sergei Petrovsky.

It is noted that the claim is substantiated the involvement of Girkin to the plane crash. In particular, it says that in the summer of 2014, when the accident occurred, Girkin was in command of the army and the separatists with help from Russia at the Donbass was delivered rocket launcher from which the plane was shot down.

The relatives of the victims accuse Girkin and that he ordered the separatists to collect belongings of the deceased and transfer them to «Fund of defense of DNR».

The lawsuit also refers to linking Russia to the plane crash.
