In the Luhansk region temporarily banned night passenger traffic through checkpoints

On the territory of Luhansk region on January 9, a ban on movement through the checkpoints at night of vehicles engaged in passenger transportation.

On Thursday January 12, reported the press service of the Department of national police in the Luhansk region.

«From 9 January in the time period from 22:00 to 06:00 passage forbidden through the checkpoints vehicles that carry out the passenger transport (except international flights), including occasional services, who work in order and in the «taxi». Restrictions will apply until further notice», — stated in the message.

The police explain that such limitations imposed in connection with the increase in the number of cases of road accidents with participation of passenger transport, in particular which moves in the direction of the line of differentiation from the temporarily uncontrolled territory, and to prevent cases of illegal transport of goods and prohibited items.

Recall that in the summer of 2016, the Deputy Minister of the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons Georgy Tuka said that it is planned to resume passenger service in the occupied territories.
