Ivan Poddubny (1871-1949) — Ukrainian athlete-wrestler. Six-time world champion in wrestling (Paris, Milan, Frankfurt, new York in 1905-1909. 25 years in a row, remained unbeaten fighter in the world. In his teenage years and after the war for a long time lived in the village of Krasenivka Chernobelskogo district of Cherkasy region. Buried in the city of Eysk in Krasnodar region (Russia), where he lived the last years of his life.
