In Tehran collapsed one of the oldest skyscrapers, died 30 firefighters

Thursday, January 19 around 8:00 in the Iranian capital Tehran has fallen skyscraper Plasco after there was a fire. According to the Associated Press, during the fall of the building killed 30 firemen.

The fire in Plasco, a landmark building in the centre of Tehran, started in the morning. For fire, there was no obvious cause.

Firefighters fought the fire for several hours to the fall, while the police kept the store owners and others who wanted to collect their belongings in the building.

The building collapsed in seconds, it was in a live broadcast on state television.

17-storey tower was built in the early 1960s, Iranian-Jewish businessman Habib Elghanian and named in honor of his company for the production of plastics. At that time it was the tallest building in the city.
