In Poland reached a verdict in the case of Kaczynski plane crash

The former Deputy head of Bureau of government protection of Poland General Paul Belany received half a year probation in connection with the plane crash of President Lech Kaczynski near Smolensk in 2010.

As reported on Tuesday, June 21, Gazeta Wyborcha, Belanova accused of improper performance of duties in the planning and organization of the visit of the first persons of the state in Russia. The court decided that the negligent actions of the General led to a «significant reduction in the level of security,» reports DW.

During the trial, the witnesses from among experts noted that Belany not conducted necessary inspections of the destination airport and route of the aircraft, which flew Polish President and other dignitaries. According to Polish experts, it indirectly influenced the crash of an airliner.
